| LOAD BANKS provide a controlled
electrical 'load' which is applied to the generator
set in measured steps of KW. This allows the maintenance
personnel to observe the functions of both the
generator and engine over the entire rated range
of the generator set's output.
Most load banks are supplied with manual controls
allowing the electrical load to be applied in
'steps.' In some cases, the generator is oversized
for its normal application and the load bank is
supplied with automatic controls to vary the load
bank's input in order to maintain a constant total
load on the generator. This prevents the engine
from 'wetstacking' under a lightly loaded condition.
We offer three unit configurations: Portable,
Stationary and Radiator Mounted. All can be selected
for indoor or outdoor use.
Common accessories include: Control Power Transformer,
Analog or Digital Metering, Remote Wall-Mounted
Control Cabinet. We also offer computer controlled
testing for more accurate response readings.
